Something significant, elemental, and profound

I've redirected my Twitter feed onto Dreamwidth, mostly because it really DOES encapsulate my day very well and partially because, well, I want this journal to have stuff in it. And I know I'm still to the point where if I just wait until I think to update my journal here, I won't update. There's a weird adjustment period to any journal where I kind of don't remember it's there. It's happened with my LJ many many times, where I just stop using it for a while, and I don't want that happening here.

I know there's going to be an adjustment period for me here. I know, without all my friends here yet, it's going to feel odd posting here. I guess once I figure out how to post from here to my LJ, maybe not so much, and once things open up, not so much, but for now...

I'd rather put something up here, get into the habit of checking back and reading and looking, and slowly get into the habit of posting things, than just let it sit until I'm comfortable.

I've seen a few people talk about Dreamwidth and all it means to them and I'll be honest, I'm ridiculously excited. But until I get my friends and 'family' here, it's not going to quite be home.
